Not ‘ just a game ‘

Of course, I don’t get Sympathy here, living as I do in the heart of a Pat of the country. Visit of the day-after-the-game to Pete’s barber shop is an exercise in torture, wearing such on Patriots memorabilia. And while I have yet to meet a fellow Hingham resident coach Bill Belichick, I have a hard time believing he is going to offer me a hoodie decorated shoulder to cry on.

There is a great sports program called “Just a game” which airs Saturday morning on public radio in Boston and Baltimore. It is basically a sporting event for fans of highbrow

The only problem with the show’s name, due to death sports fans, it’s more than “just a game.” As the title implies, not an observer detachments fan passion.

Yes, every sports fan, when pushing (even the ones who have season tickets and wearing face paint) will admit that in the end it is just a game. Perspective is important, and whatever the sport, whatever the stakes, it was never alive and dead.
